Why Tour Guides Need Insurance

  • A condition of Professional Guide membership of Tour Guides Australia is Public Indemnity Insurance to the value of at least $10m.

  • Tourism operators who contract Professional guides will require proof of Public Indemnity Insurance.

  • Many land managers and parks authorities throughout Australia will require similar indemnity for guides to lead tours on  land they manage. 

  • A tour guide is exposed to the possibility of legal action being taken in respect of any legal responsibility for personal injury or property damage arising during the course of your tour guiding activities.

  • TGA members have, access to a very beneficial Public Liability, Product Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance policy.
