Are you an individually trained and /or experience tour guide?
This Category is for you, either you or your employer can apply on your behalf.
You will need to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Signed TGA Code of Conduct
- Current level II First Aid (compulsory).
- Public liability insurance (compulsory). TGA Group Insurance Cover available
- Resume, work history, guiding qualification, or RPL.
- Employer reference
- Working w./children check if required.
TGA will then contact you to organise an assessment to complete the membership process.
Are you employed by a TGA certified organisation?
This Category is for you, either you or your employer can apply on your behalf.
You will need to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Signed TGA Code of Conduct
- Current level II First Aid (compulsory).
- Proof of public liability insurance (through your employer)
- Proof of training, with TGA Certified Organisation
Proof of RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) if applicable
Working with Children check if required.
This category is available to students while they are actively undertaking Tour Guide or Tourism training
OR
Guides wishing to remain in contact with the organisation without undergoing formal guide recognition or training.
Corporate Certified Organisation Tier 1
TCO 1 – up to four (4) guides will receive complementary Registered Guide memberships.
Corporate Certified Organisation Tier 2
TCO 2 – up to 12 guides will receive complementary Registered Guide memberships.
Corporate Certified Organisation Tier 3
TCO 3 – up to 40 guides will receive complementary Registered Guide memberships
