TGA NATIONAL ACCREDITATION
Annual Membership $220
Assessment Fee $95
(Initial one off fee for new members)
Are you an individually trained and experienced tour guide?
This category is for you, either you or your employer can apply on your behalf.
You will need to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Signed TGA Code of Conduct
- Current level II First Aid and CPR (compulsory).
- Public liability insurance (compulsory when operating as an independent contractor). TGA Group Insurance Cover available
- Resume, work history, guiding qualification, or RPL
Working With Children Check if required.
TGA will then contact you to organise an assessment to complete the membership process.

Have you been trained by a TGA certified organisation?
This category is for you, either you or your employer can apply on your behalf.
You will need to provide:
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Signed TGA Code of Conduct
- Current level II First Aid and CPR (compulsory).
- Proof of public liability insurance (through your employer)
- Proof of training, with TGA Certified Organisation
Proof of RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) if applicable
Working With Children check if required.
This category is available to the following:
- Students while they are actively undertaking Tour Guide or tourism training
- Guides who have undertaken training and are gaining experience in the sector under supervision or direction
- Guides wishing to remain in contact with the organisation without undergoing formal guide recognition or training.
You will need to provide:
- Signed TGA Code of Conduct
