We are committed to assisting Tour Guides in building long term relationships with businesses, as well as with other members of the tourism industry and stakeholder groups.
TGA maintains the required standards, encouraging training, promoting best practice and eliminating unethical guiding practices.

Why use a TGA Guide?
Tour guides are the all-important ‘Face of the tourism industry’.
A Tour Guide spends more time in direct contact with visitors, than anyone else in the Tourism Industry.
Guides have the strongest influence on guests experiences and perception of Australia – whether it be international or domestic travellers, so it makes good financial and business sense to ensure guides are qualified, insured (if required) and capable.
TGA guides offer a high level of expertise:
- Each guide is different. But all guides offer extensive and meaningful in depth knowledge of Australia, plus a variety of specialised skills and interests – including language guiding.
- Professional development opportunities are available to TGA members ensuring continued education and ongoing upgrading of skills.
- Tour Guides are available to assist businesses Australia-wide.

- All TGA guides are required to have Level II First Aid plus CPR plus valid tour guide liability insurance to the
minimum value of $10m.
